A horror short by nature should have the viewer on the edge of their seat from start to finish, and House Call does just that.  This new short from director Erik L. Wilson provides just about everything a horror short should provide: suspense, discomfort, and its fair share of blood.  The story of supernatural revenge takes a quick and violent turn, and doesn’t let up.

The film has impressive blood and gore effects, none of which appear digital (thankfully).  One of the only parts of the film that fell short, in my opinion, were the ‘supernatural’ effects.  Frequent readers will know that I thoroughly enjoy cheesy effects, but cheesy digital effects don’t do much for me.  That being said, the short is superb overall.  Make sure to keep an eye out for its release!  Updated information can be found at the Facebook page.  And, for now, check out the trailer below:
