It’s no secret around here that I’m a bit obsessed with all of Frictional Games’ releases, and with this brand new SOMA teaser trailer it appears that my obsession will continue on unhindered. In fact, the only disappointment is the release date. But after all, these things take time and patience is a virtue and all that good shit. Regardless, this new trailer gives some seriously eerie atmosphere, and hints at the amount of horror that we’ve become accustomed to from Frictional Games. There’s alien technology, humanoid reanimation, and something lurking on the abandoned ship.
SOMA is projected for release on PC and PS4 in 2015, which if I’m not mistaken would mark the first Frictional game for console. So check out the trailer below, and the three screenshots, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for upcoming news!
Here’s a brief summary from the official site:
The radio has gone silent on PATHOS-2. As isolation bears down on the staff of the remote research facility, strange things are happening.
Machines are taking on human traits and alien constructions have started to interfere with routine. The world around them is turning into a nightmare.
The only way out is to do something unimaginable.
