From the press release:

BrinkVision announces the release of the critically acclaimed film, SONNO PROFONDO for U.S. and Canadá. Since its world premiere at SITGES Film Festival, “Sonno Profondo” has been screened at film festivals around the world, winning awards including best music soundtrack and several best film awards.

Critics have called it “a demented piece of art; a fascinating cinematic experience”, “hypnotic, unsettling, disturbing” and “Sonno Profondo resurrects Giallo”.

The movie is set in the 1970s, so costumes, vehicles, locations and telephones from that time were used. Post-production stage was also very important, since special effects were used to achieve the “seventies” look of the film.

The soundtrack, essential element of the “Giallo” genre, was composed by Luciano Onetti (the Director) true to the style of Ennio Morricone and Goblin, composers of the most renowned films of this genre in the 1970s decade.

And here’s the synopsis:

After murdering a woman, a killer that is traumatized from his childhood memories, gets a mysterious envelope slipped under his door. The hunter becomes the prey when he finds out that the envelope contains photos that show him killing the young woman.

POE Project of Evil coverItalian horror anthology POE: PROJECT OF EVIL is set for a DVD and digital release on May 6th through Brain Damage Films. Following the release of P.O.E. POETRY OF EERIE, several of those involved got together a second time around for this Edgar Allan Poe based anthology. Check out the details below, and a handful of screenshots following that. If you like ’em gory, this one looks to provide just that.

From the press release:

Following up the successful 2011 film “P.O.E.: Poetry of Eerie”, in which 15 international directors were brought together to recreate 13 different Edgar Allan Poe stories, some of the original filmmakers have regrouped for this newest experiment.

While the original film’s focus was the poetic and macabre dimension of the infamous Boston author, this sequel focuses instead on the bloody, violent and disturbing.

Stories include ‘The Pit and the Pendulum’, ‘Solo’, ‘Loss of Breath’, ‘The Murders in the Rue Morgue’, ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’, ‘The System of Dr. Tar and Prof. Feather’, and ‘The Premature Burial’… Like you’ve never seen before!

MOTEL LONDON II to be Released at Denver Comic-Con

I met the Bloodshed Deathbath guys at Denver Comic-Con last year, and they’re completely insane. I mean that in the best way possible of course, because these guys make some of the most absurdly weird horror shorts you’ve ever seen. Just in time for the Denver Comic-Con this year, the group has created MOTEL LONDON II, which may be a sequel to MOTEL LONDON, but who really knows with these guys. If you’re among the lucky attendants this year, make sure to stop by their booth, say hi, and pick up this brand new DVD release!

Find out more here: Bloodshed Deathbath Facebook Page  |  Official Bloodshed Deathbath Site

From the press release:

After a 2013 DVD sellout at Denver Comic-Con, Bloodshed Deathbath Productions, creators of some of the most bizarre and confusingly stupid horror films has been hard at work on their latest epic masterpiece entitled “Motel London II”. Is it a video game? Is it a movie? Is it good? Who knows.

Ryan Policky, Director/Producer took his favorite of the seven films he has created up until this point, and gave it a much needed, big-budget (for BSDB standards) follow-up. Partnering with Daniel Crosier and Monster Makeup FX, all based out of Denver, the cast and crew have been hard at it for the past four months, and are proud to present this “Direct to DVD” flick in their haunted Bloodshed Deathbooth coming June 13-15 at Denver Comic-Con.

To celebrate this announcement, a teaser trailer has just been released to all those viral eyes out there, and should not be missed. This flick proves to be the goriest, and weirdest film Bloodshed Deathbath has released yet, and trust us, that’s saying A LOT!
